Registered to vote yesterday, which sort of goes along with the project I just finished for my Drawing I class. It is a collage-turned-sketch of the Clintons, Obama, and Obama-vator. It wasn't really supposed to be a political piece, but it turned out that way!
So I've been drawing this hand a lot lately. I think it's challenging, but I need something new. I guess it's time to find a new object from the still life's we draw in my Drawing I class. Things have been going pretty well! (It's been a while since I updated on my life haha) Get to help my high school drumline tonight... and see my girlfriend! Yay!

So I'm trying to figure out why it showed up sideways.... Anyways, this is a still-life I drew in my Drawing I class. This was actually my first time to legitimately use charcoal. I think it turned out pretty well!

This is my "booth" at the local art show. Simple, I know, but it worked! This got me a scholarship! I've been having a great weekend so far! My high school football team won Friday night, and Saturday night I chilled with my parents. Ahh I love weekends!
This is a study drawn in my Design I class. It's just a simple contour drawing for a project we are starting. I just wanted to add a simple background for some flare. I haven't been posting much simply because I haven't had time! I'm now a college student, so I think it might get worse... I'll post as much as I can!
Finally got a moleskine! It has been a while since I've posted last, but I've been working! Got a new sketchbook and some artistic pens. Hope everybody had a great 4th!
This is my latest project on my Wacom tablet. It is a '69 Camaro Z/28 that I am recreating in Corel Painter. Found the pic online. In other news, my car is finally getting tuned and vacation is arriving in less than a week!
First creation on my Bamboo tablet with Corel Painter 11. It was late.. didn't pay much attention to detail but I think it turned out pretty sweet. Have a good night!
Finally got a Wacom Bamboo tablet. It's GREAT! Hope to be able to recreate this image on it. I know it's a stretch, but I'm up for the challenge! Had a great graduation and now it's time for summer! WOO HOO! Anyways, have a great day/night/whatever you want to be great.
Update on my Koi fish tattoo. This is a more refined sketch. It's definitely more of what I want than the other. Workin tonight, but it's all good, cause I've had all week off!
Startin to plan out my tattoo. I'm wanting a koi fish (as you can see). I'm not sure whether I want color or not yet... oh well. First week out of school and I've already remembered how boring it can be. Graduation in a few days though! Sweet!
Went down to the Delta last night. Humid as heck!! My girlfriends grandparents are pretty awesome though, so it was worth it. Glad I'm home.
Gotta love days like today. It was beautiful outside, and it was a Friday! Got my paycheck and took my girlfriend out to a nice meal. Also sat down and watched The Men Who Stare at Goats tonight. GREAT MOVIE! I think it's been an accomplishing day. Time for work all weekend....
Worked this out on a graffiti generator found in Art class the other day. Fun stuff! I'd like to try it for real.. with spray paint that is... but I'm not 18... WTF MISSISSIPPI! Oh well... Gumtree is a real thorn in my side right now but I'm sure it'll be worth it if I get anything out of this. Speaking of Gumtree, my art teacher was lookin through my portfolio and gave me some great compliments. I was on top of the world! He is prolly the best art teacher around here. Thanks Mr. T! Back to work...
The weak decay when they don't get what they want. Kinda what happened today, but I'll get over it. I'm proud of it and that's what matters! Need to sketch more... I'm falling WAY behind. Just look at the difference between this year and last year. I'll work it out...

Played a Battle of the Bands tonight in Fulton. We KILLED IT! It was pretty great! Had a great night and hopefully will have a great rest of the week. Bedtime now...
